What is Trustmark?
Looking for a local, trustworthy & reliable landscaper? Look no further and use an registered APL member through TrustMark, the only Government endorsed scheme for trades in and around the home including garden landscapers.
How does TrustMark work?
Landscape businesses can only join Trustmark through the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL). The APL carries out annual checks to ensure that the company meets certain standards.
These include checks on the company's technical competence, trading record and legality. These checks include actual visits by independent assessors at real client’s projects and to view actual company documentation such as insurance certificates etc.
The APL only awards the TrustMark certificate if they are satisfied that they meet the Government endorsed standards.
TrustMark monitors the scheme operator to make sure that standards are being maintained.
APL are proud to be the only landscaping association that is an ‘approved scheme operator’ for TrustMark for the garden landscaping, fencing and patio and driveways sectors.
TrustMark is a scheme endorsed by the Government and consumer groups. It sets standards which firms must meet in order to display the TrustMark logo – the sign of a company that homeowners can trust that differentiates reputable firms from potential rogue traders
Why should you use a TrustMark certificated landscaper?
TrustMark gives more protection from potentially rogue companies or cowboys. When you see a firm displaying the TrustMark logo they have the reassurance of knowing:
- The company is visited annually and their legality and trading record is checked.
- The quality of the landscapers work is assessed on site, both during the building phase and on completion every three years as a minimum.
- The landscaper has signed up to our Customer Charter whereby they are a member of the HTA (Horticultural Trades Association) and have been trading for a minimum of two years.
- If a customer has a problem they cannot solve with the landscaper the APL has a process to assist with a resolution.
Who else uses TrustMark?
