Small Garden Design – New Build Property

The french doors now open onto a rustic natural stone patio, which softens towards the raised beds by incorporating areas of gravel and planting, to make the space feel less ‘hard’. A slate water feature is the main focal point, with a smart oak cantilevered bench adjacent, so the owner can sit and hear the water lapping over the edge.

A series of oak-edged raised beds bring the planting up to a more accessible level, and are filled with a mix of easy care perennials, shrubs and climbers, plus a number of small multi-stem silver birches. Soft peaches, creamy whites are dotted with a hint of dark burgundy to bring an adult touch to a light and airy, feminine planting scheme.

The gazebo, furniture and planters were all selected by Chiltern Garden Design to complete the scheme.

The owner is over the moon with her new garden, which she loves pottering around for hours, and inviting friends over to spend time in this green oasis.
