NIK EDSER, FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Nik’s longstanding love of creating extraordinary gardens began when he was 16 and took a Saturday job with a local landscaping company. When school ended he worked for the firm for a whole Summer and was hooked. Knowing that he’d found his calling he studied Landscape Design & Construction for two years at leading Horticultural College, Merrist Wood in Guildford, Surrey. Upon graduation Nik joined a firm in Caterham quickly rising to Site Foreman. Adventure beckoned and Nik set off travelling round Australia, including a stint of landscaping work in Sydney. After 2 ski seasons in St Anton Nik returned home and set up his own landscaping firm, naming it Langdale after his favourite landscape, and climbing haunt in the Lake District.

Since that time Nik has grown Langdale Landscapes into a nationally recognised and award-winning leader in the landscaping world. He remains at the centre and is the first point of contact for every client.

Established in 1997, Langdale Landscapes has grown into a greatly respected and award-winning leader in garden design and landscaping. Our expert, experienced team of 25, includes highly skilled garden designers, landscapers and gardeners. A member of the prestigious Association of Professional Landscapers our reputation has been further endorsed by our nine Gold APL Awards and the four award winning exhibitor gardens we have built at the Chelsea Flower Show in recent years.

Every Langdale Landscapes garden is a one-off, designed in-house following detailed discussions with our clients. From the initial design stage Langdale Landscapes manage every aspect of each unique project. Each garden has its own dedicated Langdale team who bring meticulous engineering, exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful planting schemes to the outdoor spaces being created.
