Small Split-level Garden with Lawn

A more traditional town garden with a lawn, water feature and layered soft planting.

A sandstone patio with dining table is positioned adjacent to the house, with corner steps leading up from there to the lawn. The sandstone water feature next to the steps is positioned to be appreciated from both inside the house as well as when sitting outside. A different perspective of the garden can be appreciated from the bench at the far end of the garden.

The wildlife-friendly planting is designed for both seasonal colour and year round interest, and includes a multi-stemmed Himalayan birch and crab apple tree to provide height, screening and some shade, as well as scented climbing roses next to the patio.
